RunMyRoute Privacy Policy
RunMyRoute (“we”, “the app”) helps you plan running routes on iPhone and Apple Watch.
Information we collect
- Apple ID account identifiers via Sign in with Apple (a stable user ID; name/email only if you choose to share them).
- Location when you grant permission — used to set start/finish points and to track distance during an outdoor run.
- Saved routes you create (name, geometry, distance, labels) stored on device and synced with iCloud/CloudKit when enabled.
- Purchases processed by Apple (we receive entitlement status, not your full payment card details).
- Advertising identifiers / ad interactions if you use the free tier with ads, via Google AdMob (non-personalized by default).
How we use information
- Authenticate you and restore your account session.
- Generate walking routes with Apple MapKit and save/sync your routes.
- Enforce free-tier limits and unlock features you purchase.
- Show ads on the free tier.
Sharing
- Apple — Sign in with Apple, MapKit, CloudKit, StoreKit.
- Google AdMob — ad delivery on the free tier. See Google’s privacy policy.
- We do not sell your personal information.
Retention & deletion
You can delete your account and saved routes in Settings → Delete Account & Data. This removes local data and attempts to delete synced CloudKit records associated with the app. You may also revoke Sign in with Apple in iOS Settings.
